My body feels so much better when I stick to animal based eating, or a mostly carnivore diet. Sometimes I add in rice or potatoes, and I do love to use real maple syrup in my iced coffee, but for the most part, I stick to animal based meals.

This means lots of meats, eggs and dairy products. Over on my YouTube channel, I like to share the meals I eat. I have a large family and the kids aren’t always on board for what I eat. So, I will often cook them something and stick to simple animal based eating for my husband and myself.
What I Ate
On this particular day, I enjoyed coffee with heavy cream. This is my go to for most mornings. I will add some butter in as well. I used to think I couldn’t enjoy coffee unless it was sweet. Now, I can’t hardly drink sweet coffee! I really like the simple taste of coffee and heavy cream. I also add my iodine supplement to my coffee in the mornings.
For breakfast, I had pork rind cereal. I know, it sounds weird. And actually, it is kinda weird. But so delicious! This breakfast is so simple and makes you feel like you are eating a bowl full of your favorite cereal.
I fill my bowl with original pork rinds (no flavors, just salt) and top it with some milk, half and half or heavy cream. Then I sprinkle some Truvia over the top. You can use whatever sweetener you like. Add some sprinkles of cinnamon and you have a bowl of yummy carnivore cereal.
Lunch today was butter chicken and rice. I love butter chicken (without the tomato sauce). I chopped up some chicken breasts, fried them in a 1/4 cup of butter. Next I added some butter chicken seasoning. I got my bottle at my local Sam’s Club and unfortunately, they quick carrying it. Hopefully I’ll be able to find more when my bottle is empty. Anyway, next you add some half and half or heavy cream to the pan and let the chicken simmer until the liquid thickens up a bit. I do enjoy eating mine with some rice, but I really try not to over do it. This chicken is so delicious on it’s own as well, which is how I eat the leftovers.
For dinner I ate leftovers. We had so much meat in the fridge. I chose to eat 2 hamburger patties with American cheese and some more butter chicken. SO good!
I also drank an iced coffee while I was out shopping with my kids. I enjoy making my own iced coffee with coffee, heavy cream and real maple syrup.
Obviously the seasonings, coffee and maple syrup are not true carnivore options. But, I’ve found what works for me, and that is an animal based diet. If any of these things don’t make you feel great, then don’t eat them! Blessings, friends!
