Carnivore (ish) Lasagna Recipe

This carnivore lasagna recipe is simple comfort food at its finest. Layers of egg wraps, meat and cheese are rich, flavorful and quick to throw together, making it a perfect weeknight meal.
Servings: 6 people

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce or make your own
  • 1 16 oz cottage cheese
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 whole egg wraps (1 package) or make your own
  • garlic salt
  • Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400 degrees.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a pan.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, add the pasta sauce. You can heat this until bubbly or you can turn the heat off and use it cold.
  4. In a greased 8x8 pan, spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom.
  5. Layer 2 eggs wraps on top of the sauce, one whole and one cut in half.
  6. Spread 1/3 of the cottage cheese on top of the egg wraps.
  7. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella onto the cottage cheese.
  8. Continue layering the ingredients until you have a full pan, or 3 layers. You'll want to end with sauce and shredded cheese on top.
  9. Sprinkle some garlic salt and Italian seasoning on top of the shredded cheese.
  10. Bake in your preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until it's bubbly and browned on top.
