Why this is the Best Banana Bread Recipe
I have tried A LOT of banana bread. My husband loves it so much and it is one of his favorite baked goods. Of all the recipes I have tried, this one is the best! What sets this recipe apart? It is moist and tender, rich in flavor and versatile. Last time I made this, I was out of sour cream. So, I used cottage cheese instead. The cottage cheese (or sour cream.. plain greek yogurt is a great option too) in this recipe make it so moist and soft. It doesn’t dry out like other banana breads and is so soft and delicious. You can add any mix-ins you like and make this bread even better! We love ours with chocolate chips, but you could also add chopped nuts, or even a swirl of peanut butter for a personal twist. This bread works great in a regular sized loaf pan, or for a fun treat for the kids, make it in a mini loaf pan so everyone gets their own loaf!

Ingredients
- Softened Butter
- Sugar- Honey or maple syrup can also be used.
- Eggs
- Bananas – overripe bananas are best! The are sweet and add more flavor.
- Sour Cream (you can also use cottage cheese or plain greek yogurt).
- Vanilla
- Cinnamon
- Salt
- Baking Soda
- Flour- White flour, whole wheat flour or even gluten free flour is great in this recipe.
Tips and Tricks
- Use overripe bananas: The browner and spottier, the better. They add natural sweetness and moisture.
- Don’t Overmix: Since this is a quick bread, you don’t want to overmix it. Stir just until the flour disappears for a soft, tender loaf.
- Customize it: Add in some chocolate or peanut butter chips, chopped nuts or a swirl of peanut butter

Why You’ll Love This Banana Bread
This recipe is not only easy to follow but also forgiving. It is a great way to use up overripe bananas and fill your home with the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread. Plus, it freezes well, so you can always have a slice on hand when the craving strikes.
