These fudgy Oreo brownies happened quite by accident. While I had planned to make some Oreo cake mix cookies, these happened and my kids all agree that these are the best brownies.
Using a box mix makes these brownie bites so quick to mix up. If you love chocolate, brownies and Oreos, these are sure to be a hit at your house too!
1. Mix the dry ingredients together
To mix up these decadent brownie, grab a large bowl and a sturdy spoon. Another option would be to use your electric mixer or stand mixer. I used my stand mixer, but at the end, when I added in the Oreo crumbs, I had to stir the dough with a spoon. It gets pretty thick and my stand mixer was upset about having chunks to stir into the dough.
Dump in the cake mix, instant pudding and rolled oats. Instead of rolled oats, I suppose you could use quick oats and still get the same result.
Then give the dry ingredients a little stir and then add the wet ingredients. Mix in the shortening, sour cream, water and vanilla extract into the dough until you have a nice cookie dough and everything is incorporated.

2. Add the Oreo crumbs.
Its pretty simple to make Oreo crumbs. You can take your whole Oreos and put them into a gallon sized ziplock bag. Smash them up using your rolling pin. I had some pre-crunched Oreo crumbs that I used for mine. You want about 2 cups total.
Work the Oreo crumbs into the cookie dough with a sturdy spoon, or your hand.
3. Prep the Pans
You can line your baking sheets with parchment paper for quick and easy clean up, or spray your baking sheets with cooking spray. I have a nifty little oil sprayer that I got from Amazon. I was tired of buying spray oil in the aerosol cans and wanted to just use the larger jugs. This little sprayer has worked really well and I’m very pleased with it.

4. Bake Your Oreo Brownie Bites
Using a cookie scoop or two teaspoons, you’ll place balls of cookies (about 1/5 inches) onto the baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
After that you will put the pans into an oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a baking time of 10-12 minutes or until they are done!
Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some caramel sauce drizzled over the top, these Oreo Brownie Bites would be so delicious. Or enjoy them fresh from the oven for a quick treat. Let them cool on a wire rack and store them in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
