Why Choose a Carnivore Eggnog?
The traditional eggnog recipe typically contains refined sugar, dairy fillers, and sometimes even preservatives if you’re buying it from the store. While delicious, it’s far from ideal for those focusing on a nutrient-dense, low-carb diet.
This carnivore eggnog offers several benefits:
- Nutrient Density – Eggs and cream provide essential vitamins, minerals and healthy fats.
- Low-Carb and High-Protein – Ideal for stabilizing energy levels and reducing cravings. I love to quickly make a cup of this eggnog when I am craving something sweet. It is extremely satiating.
- Clean Ingredients – No artificial flavors, no processed sugar – just wholesome goodness.
This recipe allows you to indulge in the holiday spirit wile sticking to your dietary goals.

Ingredients for Carnivore Eggnog
This recipe is very versatile, depending on how strict you are with your diet. For a really simple version, use heavy cream and eggs. If you’d like to sweeten it up a bit you can use raw honey, or something like liquid stevia or Truvia, which is what I use. You can also add a bit of vanilla extract, cinnamon and nutmeg to give it a traditional holiday flavor.
How to Make It
This recipe is single serve and there are a few different ways you can make it. For a hot carnivore eggnog, start by putting your cream and egg yolks into a small sauce pan. Whisk (or use an electric hand mixer) them together really well. If your goal is to make a basic, true carnivore eggnog, this is all you need. While whisking, warm your eggnog over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling. Transfer the warm eggnog to your favorite mug and enjoy!

If you aren’t as strict with your diet and want to make your drink fancy, add in the vanilla, Truvia and nutmeg after you have whisked the cream and egg yolk together. You can stop here if you want to enjoy your eggnog cold. Pour it into a cup, top with an extra sprinkle of nutmeg and drink up! But if you want to warm your eggnog up, keep whisking as you warm your eggnog over medium heat until it is hot, but not boiling. If you’re in a hurry you can stop here. If you have a bit more time and would like to make it extra creamy and delicious, move on to the next step.

Before you turn the heat onto your eggnog, take the egg-whites and beat them in a mixing bowl until stiff. If you have a stand mixer you can turn them on and let them mix until the eggnog is done.
Once the eggnog is hot, whisk the stiff egg-whites into the eggnog, one scoop at a time. This will make your eggnog fluffier and more creamy. You can then drink it hot, or transfer it to the fridge for a bit to cool.
Tips for the Best Carnivore Eggnog
- Whisk the eggs thoroughly and use high-fat dairy for the best texture. If you want extra richness, add a dollop of whipped cream on top.
- Eggnog tastes better after resting in the fridge overnight, so consider preparing it the day before your holiday gathering.
- Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Give it a quick stir before serving it again.

This healthy carnivore eggnog is more than just a drink – it’s a holiday experience in a glass. It’s perfect for anyone looking to indulge without compromising their health. The creamy texture, warm spices and subtle sweetness make it a hit with everyone, even those who aren’t following a carnivore diet.
