Cheesy Sausage and Broccoli Casserole

Try this quick and easy dinner recipe for Cheesy Sausage and Broccoli Casserole! This comforting one-pan dish is perfect for busy weeknights.
Servings: 10 people

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground sausage
  • 4 pounds broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar and colby jack are great
  • 1 8 oz brick of cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet until browned.
  3. Steam the broccoli until just tender. If using frozen broccoli, drain any excess water.
  4. Mix the sausage, broccoli, cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheese, onion powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper together in a large bowl.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 10x15 baking dish - a 9x13 will work but will be very full.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
