Cream Cheese Frosting from Scratch

This recipe is enough to top a 9x13 cake.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 8 oz. brick of cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Using an electric mixer, mix the cream cheese and heavy whipping cream until thick and smooth.
  2. Add one cup of powdered sugar. Mix until incorporated.
  3. Add the second cup of powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
