Ham, Egg and Cheese Omelette

Packed with protein and healthy fat, this easy carnivore diet breakfast idea is sure to become one of your favorites!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg
  • 2-3 slices ham deli meat
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese cheddar or colby jack are great options
  • 1-2 tsp butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. While the skillet is preheating, roughly chop the ham into smallish pieces. I usually use some food scissors for this and they work great.
  3. Once the skillet is hot, add butter and let it melt.Put the chopped ham into the melted butter and let it cook for about 20-30 seconds.
  4. Using a fork or a whisk, whisk eggs in a bowl until the yolk and the white are completely mixed.
  5. Spread the ham out in your pan so its about the size of your omelette. Slowly pour the whisked egg over the top of the ham. If It doesn't spread into a circular shape, move your skillet around a bit to help it spread out.
  6. Let this cook for about 1 minute and then carefully flip it over.
  7. After you flip the omelette, sprinkle cheese on top.
  8. Let the omelette cook for about 1 minute and then fold the omelette in half, with the cheese on the inside.
  9. Transfer to a plate, let sit for a minute for the cheese to finish melting, sprinkle with salt and pepper and enjoy!
