- 1 pound ground spicy breakfast sausage
- 10 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream or 1 cup sour cream
- 1 small can diced green chilies (can use mild or hot)
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 8 oz. cubed Velveeta cheese
How to Make Spicy Sausage, Egg and Cheese Casserole
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350° F. In a skillet, cook the spicy sausage until browned.
Step 2: While your sausage is cooking, crack 10 eggs into a bowl. Add the cream (or sour cream), garlic powder and diced green chilies. Whisk together until smooth.
Step 3: Once the sausage is done cooking, transfer it to a greased 9×13 baking dish. Slowly pour the egg mixture over the top of the sausage.
Step 4: Add the cubed Velveeta cheese to the casserole by dropping them into the egg mixture, evenly distributing them around the baking dish.
Step 5: Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through and the top is slightly browned.
Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to serve.
