Sometimes on the carnivore diet, you can get tired of eating meat. I know I did when we first started. I just didn’t want to eat because I knew my next meal was going to be meat. These carnivore vanilla cake donuts are a perfect breakfast (or lunch or dinner) for when you can’t stand to eat another piece of meat. They are fluffy and soft, a bit sweet, and simply delicious.

I first saw a recipe similar to this one on a reel. That recipe was for a carnivore lemon muffin, which was made in a donut pan. I didn’t have any lemon to flavor mine with and knew my husband wouldn’t enjoy lemon very much so I improvised. The final result is soft, delicate carnivore vanilla cake donuts, made perfect with a dab of freshly whipped cream on top.
A little variety
These donuts were excellent made in a donut pan. But, you can also make them in a muffin tin or a cake pan. You will have to adjust the baking time accordingly but either way they will turn out perfect.
I enjoyed mine with some fresh whipped heavy cream. But my kids really liked them with whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Even with just the whipped cream on top, they tasted just like shortcake. I did not feel like I was missing out at all and these make a great high fat/low carb substitute for an angel food cake or shortcake. They are great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert!
