When it comes to breakfast, eggs are a real hero ingredient. They are nutritious, versatile, budget-friendly, and quick to cook. Whether you’re feeding a crowd (like I am!) or just trying to sneak in a protein-packed start to the day, egg breakfast recipes can save the day.

Today I’m sharing 7 of my favorite egg breakfast recipes. These are excellent options for breakfast on any diet or eating plan. I enjoy them on the carnivore diet but they are great for keto as well. My kids love them too!
Classic Scrambled Eggs
Scrambled eggs are the simplest of egg breakfast recipes. You can keep it easy and cook them in a bit of butter, or add some chopped herbs, shredded cheese or even a spoonful of sour cream at the end for an extra creamy bite.
Ham and Cheese Omelette
Omelette are very versatile and you can add just about anything you like to them. We often have ham and cheese, but sometimes we’ll thrown in some chopped onions or mushrooms as well.
Carnivore Friendly Dutch Baby or German Pancake
These German pancakes are so delicious. They are one of my most favorite treat breakfasts and so fast to throw together. With only a few ingredients, you’ll have a yummy breakfast that even your kids will love!
Fried Eggs with Crunchy Cheese
Who doesn’t love crunchy cheese? We use fried cheese for so many meals on the carnivore diet. It is a great substitute for chips or crackers or crunchy tortillas. When I decided to try adding it to the top of a fried egg, my mind was blown! It is such a yummy, salty treat the bite into a fried egg with crunchy cheese on it.
Over Easy Eggs
A sunny side up egg is perfect for toast. One of my favorite things to eat, pre-carnivore was a piece of toast with a runny egg on top. I enjoy them on hamburgers, and sandwiches, as well.
Scrambled Eggs with Sausage Gravy
When my husband and I started following the carnivore diet, biscuits and gravy was something I knew I had to find a way to eat. After I realized that the gravy is made with only animal products, all I had to do was find a substitute for the biscuits. Scrambled eggs aren’t exactly the same as having a biscuit, but the gravy is so creamy and delicious that you don’t even notice!
Ham and Cheese Egg Cups
I had never eaten these until just a few years ago. A family at church made them for a breakfast potluck and they were so delicious. They are simple to make and only require a few ingredients.
Eggs are such a gift in the kitchen, and there are endless ways to enjoy them. I hope these ideas inspire you to mix things up in your morning routine.
